A L O H A.  A Hawai'ian word with which most of us are familiar. It is most commonly understood to mean "hello," "goodbye" and "love." Actually, this simple word has a multitude of meanings, and the Aloha Spirit is infused with even deeper meaning and represents qualities that we could all embrace to experience more kindness, inner peace and harmony in our world. 

Rev. Helen Downey completed her ministerial studies in her native Southern California. She became pastor of the Maui Religious Science Center where she enjoyed and embraced the Hawai'ian culture and tradition: the heartfelt Spirit of Aloha which she experienced as a purposeful expression of universal love, respect and harmony . . . a natural sync with metaphysical concepts.

Reverend Donald Graves, a CSL Pulpit Minister for over 30 years, is loved and respected for the ways he challenges people to experience their personal magnificence. He published “Outing Your Inner Mystic: Unleash Your Life Through Conscious Prayer” (available from Amazon) and is working on his next book “Graves’ Laws”, a collection of one-liners and anecdotes to help all of us keep our thinking straight.

Generosity is a way of living from a full, spacious heart that knows no bounds of Spirit’s abundance as its source of all supply. It is by realizing we have this unlimited bounty of riches that we live in graceful gratitude.

Sabrina Johnson is a new resident of Prescott, Arizona, having been born, raised, and lived all her life in Southern California. Sabrina was raised in New Thought (Unity, Newport Beach, CA), and she became a member of North Hollywood Church of Religious Science in 2006. She then studied to become a Practitioner and was licensed in 2009.

In May this year, Sabrina graduated from Claremont School of Theology's Master of Divinity program and looks forward with joyful curiosity as to what new adventure awaits her gratitude.

Mother's Day is for everyone. The necessity for mothering and nurturing has never been greater. We are just beginning to become aware of the importance of expressing and experiencing our emotions. Something greater is emerging from a world run by egos, small thinking, power, and control, which can only ever lead to more "not enoughness."

The feminine opens us up to our divine natures which call us to live from our hearts. As we embrace our WHOLENESS, we all can play a role in nurturing and taking it even farther, to mentoring. If we want the world to flourish and prosper like never before, ALL of us need to play our part.

Cath DePalma is a pioneer in the study of consciousness and living a practical spirituality. She shares her life lessons, discoveries and experiences with others in a way that inspires and empowers them to move into a deeper, richer relationship with themselves, a more active, participatory relationship with the Universe and a greater appreciation of the world around them. She has counseled, coached and inspired people for almost 30 years. Reverend Cath is the author of two books: Energize Your Creative Super Powers: 7 Ways to Spiritual Fitness and I Can Do This Thing Called Life: And So Can You! She currently serves as interim minister at CSL Prescott.

Spirit is not a Cosmos bean-counter. This One Infinite Presence only knows and sees Itself, recognizing nothing outside of Itself which is Divine Love, Perfect Peace and Joy. It is Whole and Holy, lavishly bestowing its abundant gifts upon us. Think of it. God loves you so much that It placed its presence in the center of your being so that you would always know that you are One.

Hazel Bowman has been a member of CSL Prescott for over 15 years. She became a Religious Science Practitioner over 10 years ago, recognizing the presence of Spirit in all people and in all things.  In addition to enjoying being a guest speaker, she loves teaching, especially when a student has an “Aha!” moment.  At those moments, she is fond of quoting Winnie the Pooh, “I get where I’m going by walking away from where I was.” 

When we authentically communicate in relationships there is inherent vulnerability both real and perceived.  The exploration of the power and possibilities that vulnerability brings in our lives and also in our greater community invites a deep inner look.  This talk invites the embrace of vulnerability not as a weakness but as a strength that can act to create connection and holds the promise of possibility and potential cultural shift.  This can be a wonderful way to live out loud, authentically and vulnerably.

The Baháʼí Faith, founded in the 19th century, is a religion that teaches the essential worth of all religions and the unity of all people.

Steve Calrow is a member of the Baha’i Community of Prescott and is currently serving as its chairman. 

He has been avidly studying the Baha’i Teachings for the past 53 years and still has a long way to go!  

He and his wife had the great opportunity to serve as volunteers at the Baha’I World Center in Haifa, Israel from 1999 to 2003.
