Today we are discussing the magical world of Disney and how to do Disney World while staying green! Natalie had the opportunity to visit Disney World in Orlando, FL a few weeks ago during their Garden Festival. She is really excited to share all about her trip including tips for traveling with kids, amazing plant-based foods and cool sustainability facts about Disney. Today we chat with Danielle Sawat, owner of Shelf Life Book Store in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. She opened her small, used bookstore in June 2021 where most of the books are $1 each. The mission of the store is to provide accessible, affordable reading to everyone in a community-based, inclusive environment

Danielle is a book shelf of knowledge of all the yes people of our Northeast Ohio community. We go deep into the value of small businesses as well as the benefit of purchasing exclusively secondhand items. She gives us insight on how small businesses in particular can support non-profit organizations. Danielle has so much to offer our listeners who are drawn to community literacy efforts, book collecting, finding special topic texts and she leaves us with a great book recommendation.

We talk to our newest team member, Heather today! Heather is our new treasurer for Love the Green Life, the non profit we run! Heather has so much knowledge, joy and excitement to share with us. If you are someone who needs help reading a label, Heather is an expert at this. She is our unofficial label-ologist. She is going to drop some of the top ingredients for you to watch out for as you are looking for better products for yourself or family and friends. She is an educator and holds a teaching license and she is an avid researcher of the chemical compounds and ingredient names that you see on the products you buy and use. She is going to help us decipher that language and tell us about some ingredients to look out for and why. You are going to love hearing from Heather and we are so blessed to have her as part of our team now! 

Heather is a wife and mother to a couple of energetic boys who constantly keep her on her toes. She became interested in living a “greener” life her senior year of high school when she was educated on human trafficking and its role in the production of products. She began casually looking for more sustainable products and ethically sourced ingredients until 2017 when she was pregnant with her first son. She then began looking for alternatives to conventional medicine and began swapping all their personal care and cleaning products out for toxin free options. She now has her own Facebook group and Instagram  where she is having a blast using her creativity and research skills to educate others on risks of conventional ingredients and what better options are out there.
