In this Sunday edition of Coffee with the Superintendent, we explore the final six commandments from Exodus 20:12–17—those that govern how we relate to one another as image-bearers of God. From honoring parents to rejecting envy, each commandment is fulfilled perfectly in Christ and offers us a framework for how to love others in fundamental, tangible ways. We reflect on how Jesus not only taught the second greatest commandment—“Love your neighbor as yourself”—but lived it to perfection, leaving us an example to follow. Through the lens of the New Covenant, we discover how the Law leads us to grace and calls us to live with humility, integrity, and sacrificial love.
In The Grind, we celebrate a special birthday for one of our youngest daily listeners, Emma, in the 1st grade, and honor Mrs. Garcia, our excellent 2nd-grade teacher, on her birthday. As we look ahead to worship, we’re reminded of the joy and importance of gathering with the church body.
Then, in The Add-Ins, we explore the BBA Parent Covenant’s call for families to volunteer or give toward Academy events. More than obligation, it’s an invitation to partnership—and a biblical call to build up the body of Christ with joy and generosity.
This episode invites you to see obedience not as duty but worship—lived out in love, powered by grace, and anchored in community.
