Okay, while this might sound funny or adorable excuses are just fear dressed up in a cuter outfit, legitimately. If we see it like this it makes it a whole lot easier to understand. Whether you're giving excuses to others or to yourself or both (usually) you're not alone. 

In this episode, I dive into how to call out your excuses and tackle the fear that's beneath them. Even befriend the fear. Because when we befriend the fear we support ourselves to stop making excuses and start doing what we really want to do.

Awards season has just wrapped up and it got me thinking about who really wins in art? All artists are hoping they’ll be acknowledged for their work. However, not everyone can win. Some of the best artists never “make it”. Does that mean they weren’t good enough? I don’t think so. 

In this week's episode, I talk about making art for art's sake and not for the validation of others. When you're creative you have to create. But so many artists are trying to make art or book shows and aren't getting acknowledged for it. The urge to quit is powerful as others tell you to get a "real job". But, I have a way to do both. 

Winning an award doesn’t make you a better artist. You make you a better artist. Whether you win awards or book the big jobs doesn’t matter. All that truly matters is that you’ve given it your all and continue to make your art. That is truly winning.

As a native Angelino whose family has been here for over one hundred years, the city of Los Angeles and the state of California are a very important part of my heritage and a huge part of my daily life. I have lived in Los Angeles my entire life, worked in the entertainment industry, and have native Angelino friends in all parts of L.A.

The wildfires of Los Angeles that occurred last week and continue into this week are nothing short of a tragedy. They have ravaged thousands of aces, decimated family homes and displaced thousands of people for who knows how long. The fires continue to rage on and everyone in Los Angeles country is affected.
