A mainstay in both the teaching and the work of Messiah was the kingdom of heaven. In fact, we are studying from Luke's Gospel. And we know that the vast majority of the parables that Messiah taught had to do with the kingdom of God. And when we look at his ministry, the first message that Messiah gave was this, Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Being persecuted for once faith is not new. We see it in regard to the nation of Israel, for doing the will of God, being used by the Lord for His purposes, Israel suffered. And we also see through the faith in Messiah Yeshua, that early believers, many were put to death. They too were persecuted and many scattered, because of the intensity of the persecution.

We don't want to miss anything from God's Word. And that requires a thorough study of the Scripture. The Word of God is God's revelation to us. Now we can say that differently. Scripture is God's communication to humanity. And we want to hear everything that God is saying. Now, we're going to be dealing with a passage of scripture that has to do with the Sabbath day what's called in Hebrew, the Shabbat and Shabbat is not about worship. biblically speaking, we worship every day of the week.

A great book for you to study is the book of Job. Now you'll remember that Job had three friends and then a fourth. And they had terrible theology. What basically did they say to Joep, they say in this world, good things happen to good people, and bad things happen to bad people. Now, that's simply not the case. We live not right now in the kingdom of God, but we live in a fallen world. In a world of darkness, a world of lies and deception.

We see that God wants to bring change into our lives. And the best way that we can ensure that the change that we are experiencing is pleasing to God, glorifying to God honoring of God is if that change comes through the truth of Scripture.

We are called to be a people that demonstrate wisdom that rely upon God for all things that trust him, and manifest our dependence upon Him in every situation. And realize, many times God will allow us to be in a difficult predicament why? So that we will return to Him, that we will seek him that we will seek His truth through His Word.

There are many words that we could use to define God. When we look at the character of God, one of the best words is the word righteous. God is intrinsically righteous. What does that mean? It means that because God is righteous, everything that he says everything that he does, everything that he commands, is also righteous.

Shalom and happy Passover. Now, the fact that I'm saying to you now happy Passover may be confusing, because much of the Christian world has already discuss the crucifixion. And they've already celebrated the resurrection.
