Nathan talks about his history in swimming and how he started at Nova while also going into the ins and outs of the club. One of the key takeaways about Nova is that it is run by Nottingham ASA, and runs as a hub club for local smaller clubs to filter into. This creates an athlete central environment in the county. We also discuss the needs of swimmers and seeing ourselves as pathway clubs for all swimmers, allowing them make decisions on what programmes will suit them best. I also spoke to Nathan about the links with higher education in the area as well as opportunities for post graduate ages athletes, which are so few in this country. Lastly we discuss Nathans work with the BSCA and they are striving to make coaching a more professional occupation.
