Despite the wonderful upbringing I had, I have endured some really tragic moments and some seasons in my life that were completely overwhelming. Though I knew of God my whole life and was raised in church, I never brought my worries, hurts, shames, nightmares, and losses to God until much later in life. For years I walked with so much shame that it weighed on me more and more each year. I dealt with nightmares that would keep me up and made me afraid to sleep. Let’s look again at what Jesus read in Luke 4:18-19, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” This word for ‘liberty’ on both counts comes from the Greek root ‘aphesis’ and can be understood as “a letting go, a release, pardon, complete forgiveness”. When Does a Person’s Life Begin? | Biblically

As we work toward an answer to this question, Is an Embryo a Baby, we’ll break the discussion into two parts: Scientific and Biblical. This post provides an overview to the scientific discussion.

There probably isn’t a more important question that we could answer: Am I Saved? How do we know if we’re saved? What does it mean to be a Christian? Let’s resolve what we must do to be saved. Let’s resolve once and for all if we are saved. If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Paul gives two aspects that work together to produce salvation: confession and belief. Let’s not settle for what’s at the surface though; there’s a depth to each of these and how they produce salvation. Let's talk about that!

We would all want to know if God is real but the reality is that we can't truly prove or disprove anything to come to an answer. With that said whether you believe in God or not you are placing faith in whichever end results you come to. Today we want to talk about an aspect of the bigger question of if God real. Have those who have faith in God gotten there without a logical thought process. Is it illogical to have faith in God? Together let's explore:

1. Where the universe came from.

2. The problem with everything coming from nothing.

3. Did the universe come from something or someone?

and so much more. Let's truly find out if it more reasonable to have faith in God or not!

The New Year brings an opportunity for a fresh start from this past year. In this video we are discussing how Joseph and I have previously taken on resolutions. Let’s define what resolutions are, how they can be helpful and what resolutions are really worth our time. How can we finally be successful in these resolutions?
