Low Blows

Ger and Tom are back to discuss an absolutely jam-packed (and surprisingly religious) November at the Movies.

Did Gladiator 2 live up to its predecessor? What was Wicked like from the perspective of a theatre lover and someone who's never seen the musical? How did Hugh Grant become one of the most must-see actors of this era? And was our movie of the month sneakily the best movie of the year?

Plus a brief look at Paddington in Peru, the new Barry Keoghan and Cillian Murphy movies, Clint Eastwood's final movie. Also Ger has the worst cinematic experience of the year plus can Tom do Christmas cracker jokes for every movie?

Tom Pott of the Pop Cult Pod returns to give Ger

Why do these kids hoverboard so much? What vision of a dystopian future does McG project? Does the movie at least have a positive message at heart or is it just damaging to watch?

It's time to assemble our coven two (or is it true?) as Ger returns with fangclub's Kev Keane to break down all things Agatha All Along as the season came to an end with a spoiler-filled discussion.

What worked/didn't work? Is 'The Witches Road' the best road song of all time? Would you shift Aubrey Plaza if it led to your instant death? What was the best episode? Who was the show's MVP? And where does this rank within MCU TV projects? All of that and more is on the agenda!

October was a weird month for movies: a lot of the movies that were most-publicised and discussed ended up being terrible, but there were so many amazing under the radar watches! Ger and Tom (recording from Washington DC so going audio only for this) are back to discuss them all.

Included on the slate this month are Joker: Folié A Deux, Venom: The Last Dance, The Apprentice, The Wild Robot and Smile 2!

Plus we ask, in the spirit of Todd Phillips' de-mythologising The Joker character, what other legendary characters would we like to see brought down to earth?

Last weekend, Adam Cole and MJF both returned to AEW to return to their feud that has been going for over a year but changed greatly…during a time when Tony Khan has denounced the importance of long-term storytelling in wrestling.

In this episode, Ger looks at why this storyline shows that long-term storytelling is bullshit and why.

It's time to look back at a unique September at the Movies with Ger & Tom!

The only blockbuster release was Beetlejuice Beetlejuice but there were a lot of pleasant, under the radar surprises and some high-profile flops too. Also on the agenda is The Substance, Francis Ford Coppola's labour of love Megalopolis (Ger gives the epic story of how it came to be released over four decades), Speak No Evil and more!

Plus Tom watched Jennifer Lopez's Atlas so you don't have to and what old movies are we still waiting for a sequel for?
