21 February, 2025 – CAPE COD, MA – Grief is an innately human experience, touching each and every one of us. Yet, it is often an isolating one. Through a series of educational presentations across the Cape and islands, the nonprofit Sharing Kindness is hoping to make us better companions for those around us who are grieving. Attending one of the organization's peer support groups is Autumn Cardello who lost her son in 2023. She wishes for everyone to learn about grief to dissolve fear and stigma, so that we all can find support when it is our turn to grieve.

24 January 2025 - WELLFLEET, MA The cold and flu season has arrived with a vengeance and the health community is on high alert - including responding to a state advisory on the highly contagious whooping cough. Lower Cape TV gets some additional insights into the coughs in the air and what they might mean.

As Orleans moves closer to its mid-March Phase 1 sewer connection deadline, the town just reached into the past to find some incentives to move residents over the current finish line. Earlier this month, it announced it had received state approval to use a decades old pool of septic funds to offer $7500 grants to help year-round homeowners complete the mandatory connection.

A new art exhibition at the Guyer Art Barn in Hyannis displays incarcerated women's thoughts and experiences with human trafficking on Cape Cod. The opening night 16 January saw speakers such as the District Attorney Robert Galibois and a human trafficking survivor and former inmate sharing her story with the audience. Many female inmates have experienced being trafficked, the Barnstable County Sheriff's Office says that is no coincidence.

Winter brings many sea ducks and seabirds to Cape Cod, leading to a record number of patients at Wild Care in Eastham. Species like scoters and long-tailed ducks undergo rehabilitation, which includes examinations, hydration, and swimming practice. The team ensures the ducks' feathers are waterproof before releasing them back into their natural habitats, providing safety as the hunting season concludes.
