Unknown to most, we had a week off from recording, probably someone else’s fault, and returned with a renewed energy. Strong cold fronts have been battering the lower corner of west oz these last couple of weeks and the high winds and heavy rains have downed trees and swollen rivers. Azza hit a rogue tree branch, with his car, and Jyro got absolutely saturated at work. Not to worry though, we are tough and so are roo bars.

The Brig Amity has washed up in Episode Phertisavan #37 of the Lucky Parachute podcast. This week it’s all about a brig. What’s a brig you ask? well, it’s somewhere between a boat and a ship. The Brig Amity was quite an important little brig, it brought the first groups to settle Western Australia and Queensland. They even built a full-size replica in Albany in WA.

Nothing says Aussie than vegemite. Nothing says vegemite than crumpets. Together with a good helping of butter, something magical happens. If you know, you know. Azza finds funny fart moments on YouTube and, we continue dribbling on about the hardest game that we have ever played. Also, there’s a mention of a new game called ‘stray’, a story of a cat in a futuristic robot-driven world.

The Bibbulmun track is one of the longest walking tracks in the world, more than 1000km long. Somehow people decide to run its length to break some serious records. It takes an average person 6-8 weeks to complete. Try 10 days 18hrs… That’s the current record.

Episode 30six #36 lucky parachuters!! It’s us, lucky parachute, an Aussie podcast by two best mates. Ever wondered how some things were invented? Not every invention goes to plan and not every invention is intentional. There are a couple of inventions mentioned that were made by mistake and one invention that was supposed to change the world.

So, we play video games. We grew up with video games and we will most probably grow old playing video games. But, one game stands out from the gazillion games we have endured over the years. Crash Bandicoot. A somewhat challenging game that has delivered a 4th installment – Crash Bandicoot 4 – it’s about time. We have been getting stuck into it and, this one is by far the most challenging in the series. Controllers are scared as we try to contain the rage that comes naturally from this game…

Rats. How does one get rid of them? Well, an old wives tale speaks of mothballs as a sure-fire way to be rid of these little pesky rodents. But, is it fair dinkum?

Snowflake mountain. It’s a show on Netflix, Jyro speaks about it to Azza who has not heard about it at all. That’s all that is needed to say about that. Sit back, watch the show and hear what we have to say about it.
