- On December 4, 2024, UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was assassinated in Manhattan. The suspect, Luigi Mangione, 26, was arrested on December 9, 2024, at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Mangione is being questioned by police in connection with the murder.
