In 2010 we experimented with telematic performance for a Berlin event/collective "Dirty Dozen". This is a precursor to Transmittance project by Emanat and coproducers that ran from 2010 to 2013 - https://emanat.si/si/produkcija/?tag=transmittance.

Shot very few clips on this short visit to Milano (4 days) and today found these 'milanese' canzone collection on youtube, so naturally, put them together. Just a simple snapshot of time.

I suppose this was done somewhere in 1996.

Audiovisual live composition 'METAL' originates out of understanding of contemporary world as a mutual interlacement of digital and analogue, discrete and continuous, human and machine-like (non-human), in a movement of the mind without exclusion and polarisation of the pairs. Each object (human and non-human) is a part of the social network of interactions, through which the meaning is formed. In this context the resistance and firmity of information is questioned: information nowadays is mostly digitalisation of analogue phenomena but also has its methods of self-preservation and mortality. Can disintegration or decay in the digital domain be a metaphor for death and sadness in similar sense as in the analogue? If in the moment of high possibility of errors the data simply copies itself and moves away (as indicated by the contemporary nomadic cognitariat), where are then the emotional states, life, breathing and affects of modern living stored?
