Building the foundations of spiritual progress, based on the teachings of St. Alphonsus Liguori, the sermon teaches about certain types of faults we fall into, resolving to overcome them, and the three parts of how to overcome them:

1) Removing the power of the devil from the equation by saturating yourself with the Precious Blood of Jesus

2) Prayer

3) Penance

A study of the Blessed Mother's devotion to the Eucharistic Christ and the Secret prayer from the External Solemnity of the Feast of Corpus Christi ("Graciously give Your Church, we beseech You, O Lord, the gifts of unity and peace which are betokened by the gifts we offer.").

There is one Father, there are not three Fathers; there is one Son, there are not three Sons; there is one Holy Ghost, there are not three Holy Ghosts. And in this trinity, there is none before or after another, none is greater or less than another. But all three are eternal, and all three are equal. So says the Athenian Creed.

Prayer is necessary to get to heaven, and prayer is powerful. St. Alphonsus says those who pray will be saved. If you want to go to heaven, pray with confidence, humility, with perseverance, and for things necessary for salvation.
