Jesus addresses two incidents that happened in his day. One group of individuals was killed by the governor at a religious festival. Another group died in a tragic accident when a tower fell in Jerusalem.

Jesus doesn't answer the "Why?" question. Although he does make it clear that dying young is NOT a punishment from God.

Jesus directs us to the truth that life is short and precious, for all of us. And each day we need to live as if it could be our last. We need to be ready to meet God at any moment.
