Luke 14:1-24 - A Seat at the Table (Honor & Invitation) | 06.30.24 Weekend Message
In Luke 14, Jesus goes to a party. And while he is there, Jesus does a little people watching. In verse 7 Luke writes, "he noticed how the guests picked the places of honor at the table."
We all want a place at the table. We want a spot. We want a good spot, where we can be included in the conversation and be part of the important crowd.
This weekend at CrossWalk Church we're continuing our Investigating Jesus series as we walk through Luke's gospel; Jesus invites you to dinner.
As we go through the lesson, it might surprise you to know that some people don't want to come to dinner with Jesus. They make excuses. They are too busy. In reality, they don't want to spend time with him. They would rather be at a different table.
How about you? Do you want to be close to God. Do want to be included in the banquet?
