Luke 14:25-35 - The Cost of Being a Disciple | 07.07.24 Weekend Message

Listen Later

In Luke 14, Jesus talks about what it takes to be his disciple. He is upfront about the cost. Luke 14 verse 33 says "In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples."

The cost seems ludicrous. How can he expect me to give up everything?
At CrossWalk Church this weekend, we will talk about the cost of being Jesus' disciple. We'll see that the extreme cost indicates the incredible opportunity we have in following Jesus.
He'd say it's the ultimate opportunity of a lifetime.
Jesus doesn't want to pull any punches. He doesn't want you to be surprised. Following him means carrying your cross daily. It means giving up everything.
Only with Jesus can we give up everything, and gain even more.
Please join us this Sunday either our Midtown or Laveen location and see how Jesus offers you the opportunity of a lifetime!
