When watching a sporting event, it doesn't take long to figure out which fans are into it, and which ones aren't. If you've been watching any of the NFL Playoffs, then compare what the Dallas Cowboys fans looked like, as they were losing to the Green Bay Packers, to what the Detroit Lions fans have looked like at their past two playoff wins, and you'll see what I'm talking about.

It's clear to see whose heart is in it.

It's a bit harder to see whose heart is into it when talking about our relationship with Jesus. People can be good church-going members and not have their hearts in it.

So, is your heart in it?

That's the question Jesus asks each of us. That's essentially the question Jesus asked of his hometown church members in a synagogue in Nazareth centuries ago.

This week at CrossWalk Church we'll continue Investigating Jesus as we walk through the gospel of Luke and look at the rejection of Jesus by his hometown people of Nazareth.

Why was Jesus rejected? He spoke the truth in love. He called them out on what was in their hearts. He loved them too much to let them think of Him as the "Nazareth's Got Talent" magician instead of the true Messiah, their Savior.

See how the rejection of Jesus by His hometown people gives us insights into who He is and how, as the Messiah, He cleaned up the mess of our sin.
