In Luke 8:22–25, the disciples discover that following Jesus does not shield them from danger but exposes what they truly believe when control slips away. As the storm rages, Jesus speaks with the authority of Israel’s God, and the wind and waves obey his voice. The calm that follows leaves the disciples with a deeper question than fear itself: Who is this, that even creation listens to him?
