Jesus is determined to go to have heaven to enter. The heavenly realm to connect heaven to earth. If you will he is so determined to do all this what for interestingly it has something to do with you and I wow how mind-boggling that the God of all creation came here to take us there.

You might think of Jesus, disciples as men, but in this chapter, it is very obvious that Jesus disciples were also women not only Mary Magdalene, Johanna, and Susanna, but also the woman who touched him and the little girl. We also need the demoniac who is set free and a lot of bacon that is going to waste and people don’t like it. Often times people don’t like it when Jesus upset their finances.

George Caird and his commentary on the gospel of Luke says that Satan comes to us in our weaknesses, but he came to Jesus and his strength. Jesus wanted to feed people who were hungry. Jesus is very compassionate. Jesus is the textbook definition of compassion. Jesus wanted to rule the nations in a compassionate wayinstead of the nations, being manipulated and abused and enslaved and massacred and oppressed. Satan came to Jesus in his strength.

John the Baptist prepares the WAY of peace even in the womb by putting his joy into his muscles. The WAY is a big theme of Luke-Acts.
