ANZAC Day 2016 sees Luke and Susie attend a Dawn Service together as a family of five for the first time.

To acknowledge the day, Federal Minister for Fadden and former serviceman, The Hon Stuart Robert MP, joins Luke and Susie to discuss the importance of remembering ANZAC Day.  We hear stories of families significantly impacted by war.  The question of whether ANZAC Day glorifies war is raised.  

It's a special episode with a man passionate about his country and about honoring those who have provided its freedom.

Kristy Coote is an Australian singer-songwriter who’s travelled the globe.  Fresh home from Nashville with a new single from her soon-to-be-released album, Kristy is set to tour Australia.  She’s also set to head over to Tanzania to climb Kilimanjaro as a part of “Wings of Kilimanjaro”, an experience that raises awareness and funds to improve the well-being of Tanzanians through various projects and charity partners.  It’s seven days up and a surprisingly short journey down.  We hear about the new single, “Favourite Thing”, the upcoming trip to Tanzania and catch a glimpse of her engaging, fun-filled personality.

Luke also gets all reminiscent of a time when he was challenged to be a tour guide on an Adelaide tram.  Not having been to Adelaide before, nor the fact that he knew very little about the city, didn’t stop him from taking up the gig and he has the audio to prove it.

We also catch up with Alexandra Tselios from The Big Smoke.  President Madura has a creative solution to the electricity crisis of his homeland, Venezuela.  Not that the girls will like it, as they’re advised to turn off the hairdryers and straighteners.  We look at the situation, the proposed solution and come up with some suggestions of our own.

Jamie was told to play the trombone because, after a childhood incident left his hand deformed, he was told he would never play the keyboard or the guitar.  So, today, we’re happy to introduce to you Jamie Coyle, guitarist, singer, songwriter and motivational speaker.  We explore the band, the story behind his hand, a brand new song (free for download, by the way!), and his work with teenagers in schools.  He’s fun, engaging, inspiring, transparent and, when you hear the song you’ll see, tremendously talented.

We also talk about the news broadcast that left Susie saying, “WHAT??!!!”  Two stories in one news broadcast were just too much to handle.  Consequently, she’s questioning her decision to take her child on a ride at a theme park and considering boycotting women’s artistic gymnastics at the Rio Olympics.  Sometimes, a simple news broadcast has personal consequences for its listeners.  And, this time, Susie took it personally.
