Our guest in this episode was an unexpected surprise.  We called him to answer a simple maths question, but were so taken with his passion, we couldn’t help but take the chat further.  Simon Pampena is a performer and passionate mathematician.  And we mean Passionate!  We get the story behind why he is so excited by numbers, their power, their intrigue and their usefulness and sometimes uselessness (as we see in the case of the maths equation that Luke just won’t let go!).  Who knew maths could be so inspiring?!

We also catch up again with Dr Cris, author of “52 Healthy Habits” to find out about a common condition with symptoms that you may just overlook as being normal.  Hear about adrenal fatigue, the three stages and how to start fixing it.

We first catch up with Ric Todhunter.  He was staring down his 50th birthday and one, sleepless night dared to dream about using this experience to impact the world.  50 four 50 was born, a project inviting 50 people in his world to work together over 50 months to learn about and financially support global, social justice projects. 

We then meet James Woosley, author of “Challenge Accepted! A Simple Strategy for Living Life on Purpose”.  James decided to make his 40th year his most fulfilling, challenging, adventurous and purposeful by setting 40 goals to achieve by 40.  This year and the year that followed resulted in significant life lessons and the book being written.  He’s now a podcaster with the “Conquer your Kryptonite” podcast, assisting in strategic planning both in business and in life.

Sometimes, we are surprised by celebrities.  When we’re used to seeing them show mostly their silly side in movies, it can be hard to fathom wisdom springing from their lips, but that’s exactly what Jim Carrey has done.  His wisdom came through a story about his father and what he learnt by the example.  It’s a challenge to all of us as we seek to live a life more passionately and purposely.

Rick Price is known in Australia for his hits including “Heaven Knows”, “Walk Away Renee” and “Not a Day Goes By”, but he’s so much more.  Now living in Nashville, he is a producer, while still continuing to create original music.  His latest album, Tennessee Sky, brings him back to Australia with his “Can I Get a Witness” Tour in April.  Susie got to catch up with Rick ahead of the tour by Skype to talk music, touring, food, health, Tina Arena, famous people in Nashville and producing music. 

We also caught up again with Dr Charlotte Middleton to ask for the doctor’s perspective on a debate of parents versus doctor in the doctor’s surgery.  If a parent brings a child in to see a doctor with a gut feeling of what’s going on, but the doctor diagnoses something else, how hard should a parent push to follow their gut?
