Luke 22:26 – In order to be great in the kingdom of God, we must serve others.
Luke 22:30 – Compare Jeremiah 1:9, 17; 13:15; 26:2, 12-13; Hebrews 13:10. God set Jeremiah as judge over the tribes of Israel. The apostles would have this role in the New Covenant. They would judge by laying down God’s rules.
Luke 22:36 – Jesus was not necessarily telling them to buy swords. He was telling the apostles to equip themselves to do the work they were about to do.
