Luke 17: 20-37

The Pharisees ask Jesus when the kingdom of God is coming, and He responds that it will not come with visible signs or a specific location, for the kingdom of God is already in their midst. He then warns His disciples that days are coming when they will long to see the Son of Man but will not, cautioning them not to chase after those who claim to know where He is. Jesus compares His coming to lightning that flashes across the sky — sudden and unmistakable.
