Luke 24: 36-53 - Matt Cordova

The risen Jesus appears among His disciples, proving He is truly alive, and opens their minds to understand the Scriptures. He commissions them to preach repentance and forgiveness to all nations before ascending into heaven.

Luke 24: 1-35 

The women find the tomb empty and are told Jesus has risen. Later, the risen Christ walks unrecognized with two disciples on the road to Emmaus, opening the Scriptures to them until their eyes are opened at the breaking of bread.

Luke 23: 26-56

Jesus is led to Golgotha, crucified between two criminals, and speaks words of forgiveness and promise even in His final hours. Witness His death, the tearing of the temple veil, and His burial in Joseph of Arimathea's tomb.

Luke 23: 1-25 

Jesus is brought before Pilate, then sent to Herod, and finally handed over to be crucified as the crowd demands Barabbas' release instead. A powerful look at injustice, political maneuvering, and Christ's silent submission to the Father's will.

Luke 22: 47-71 

Jesus prays in agony at Gethsemane while His disciples sleep, is betrayed with a kiss by Judas and arrested, then endures Peter's three denials before the rooster crows. He's mocked, blindfolded, and beaten by the guards, then brought before the Jewish council, where He affirms He is the Son of God—sealing His condemnation.

Luke 22: 7-23

It's the first day of Unleavened Bread — Passover time. Jesus sends Peter and John into the city with a sign: follow a man carrying a water pitcher. He'll lead you to a large upper room. Prepare the Passover meal there.
They go, and everything happens exactly as Jesus said. God's plan is already in motion.
When the hour comes, Jesus reclines at the table with all twelve apostles. This is their last meal together — and Jesus knows it.

Luke 22: 1-6 

As the Feast of Unleavened Bread and Passover drew near, the chief priests and scribes desperately sought a way to put Jesus to death — but feared the people. Then Satan entered Judas Iscariot, one of the Twelve, who went to the religious leaders and agreed to hand Jesus over for money, quietly watching for the right moment away from the crowd.

Luke 21: 5-38

Jesus warns of coming trials, foretells the destruction of the temple, and calls His followers to endure with faith and watchfulness.
