What a big week it was! It was the Radiothon Special, which saw many new signups and renewals coming throughout the show, because of course, you want to keep hearing the malarky each week don’t you?

Amongst that, our special guests were Anna Burgess (now appearing in Proof at the Alex Theatre, St Kilda), Ash Flanders (in his one man show “Playing To Win“), new artistic director for Melbourne Cabaret Festival, Mike McLeish and our very special guests Judith Owen, Welsh singer/performer and Harry Shearer – the man of many Simpsons – who happen to also be husband and wife and came to the JOY studios to talk about music, meeting and Monty Burns.

There was plenty of interesting stuff going on, including Lulu’s report on rehearsals for Avenue Q (which starts in August), sheep that were high, cheese that was rolling, plus interviews with the very talented Amberly Cull(who’s also in Avenue Q with Lulu) from The Point Of Light.

They also talk to Arden Pryon and Seon Williams from new C31 Melbourne series “Fix Her Up”, which begins June 13 as well as comedian and Bayswater boy done good Lawrence Mooney, who has just had his TV pilot “Moonman” air on the ABC, which can still be seen on iView. Vote for it to go to air as a full time series.
