#Lum Squad #08: "Chain of Memories"

Hello, darlings! Welcome back to #LumSquad, a podcast hosted by @LumRanmaYasha and @ProdTally devoted to the wonderful and wacky world of Rumiko Takahashi’s Urusei Yatsura!

We’ve entered the double-digits of Urusei Yatsura’s omnibus volumes, and to mark the occasion we’re mixing up our format for covering the manga from here on out. Our past couple of volume discussions have run so long that from here on out we’ll be splitting our discussions of the omnibuses into two separate episodes as opposed to one big long one, which we hope will help us edit and release episodes more reliably and regularly!

We’re starting off our coverage of the 10th omnibus today with a collection of stories that deal with summertime and memories! Tune in as we explore some fishy stories involving a love triangle between a pool ghoul, blowfish, and a shark, a jellyfish in a can jam, and learning to swim like your life depends on it! Plus we take a stroll down memory lane while reliving Sakura’s childhood by playing with monsters, Ryuu’s rocky relationship with her strange estranged mother (?), and Benten’s literal chain of memories! So join us for some fun in the sun and to learn some surprising secrets about some beloved characters’ lives as we dive into another swimmingly fluid volume of Urusei Yatsura!
