What if something pulls us back into life again and again? The reincarnation soul trap is one of the most talked-about ideas in modern spirituality, and it is much older than the internet. This episode traces it from the Mesopotamian underworld and the Orphic gold tablets, through Plato’s Myth of Er, the Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita, the Book of Enoch, the Gnostic archons, and the Tibetan Book of the Dead, to modern teachers like Gurdjieff, Robert Monroe, Castaneda, and Sadhguru, and finally to today’s soul trap theorists.
Along the way: the veil of forgetfulness, the river Lethe, the Clear Light, the light at the end of the near-death tunnel, Tibetan dream yoga, and the question at the center of it all. Is the trap built from outside, or from inside?

The Book of Enoch tells the story of the Watchers, two hundred angels who came down on Mount Hermon, took human wives and taught forbidden knowledge to humankind. Their children were the Nephilim, the giants of Genesis, and their story ends in the Flood.
This episode follows Enoch, the man who walked with God and did not die, from the house of crystal and fire before God’s throne, through his journeys to the ends of the earth and the seven heavens, to his transformation into the angel Metatron. It then follows the book through history: Enoch as Hermes Trismegistus and the prophet Idris, John Dee and Edward Kelley receiving the Enochian language of the angels, Aleister Crowley walking the thirty Aethyrs in the Sahara, the lost book found in Ethiopia and among the Dead Sea Scrolls, and the modern readings of Erich von Däniken and Zecharia Sitchin, the Anunnaki and the ancient astronaut theory.

What happens between death and rebirth? Ancient accounts from Plato's Myth of Er to the Tibetan Bardo Thödol, modern research by Raymond Moody and Ian Stevenson, and children's past-life memories all point to a journey that follows a pattern. From leaving the body to the life review, the council of elders, and the choosing of a next life — the old teachings and the new reports describe the same road.

Lucid dreaming means knowing you are dreaming while the dream is still going on. This video follows that experience through 2,000 years of history: Augustine’s letter about the doctor Gennadius, who learned in a dream that he could see without eyes; Aristotle’s notes on the voice in sleep that says “this is only a dream”; the four states of the Mandukya Upanishad; the dream yoga of Tibet, from Tilopa and Naropa to the night practice of the throat lotus and the clear light; and Ibn Arabi’s world of images.
From there it moves to Hervey de Saint-Denys, who trained himself to direct his dreams; Frederik van Eeden, who named the lucid dream in 1913; Oliver Fox and the astral body; and the morning in 1975 when a dreamer first signaled from inside a dream to a waiting researcher. It covers the methods each tradition teaches, what lucid dreaming is used for, from practicing skills to facing nightmares, and the question underneath it all: what is the awareness that stays awake while the body sleeps?

Are we living in a simulation? The question is far older than computers. This long-form explainer traces the history of simulation theory from Zhuangzi's butterfly dream in ancient China to Nick Bostrom's simulation argument and Tom Campbell's My Big TOE.

Past lives. Children who remember. Birthmarks that match wounds. Researchers who spent decades collecting the evidence. This episode walks through the strongest documented cases — from James Leininger's nightmares of a WWII plane crash to Ian Stevenson's 2,500 case files — and what they suggest about whether something carries on after death. You'll hear how cases get verified, what the critics say, and how the old traditions from India, Tibet, and ancient Greece all point toward the same question.
The episode also covers what regression therapy looks like in practice, the work of Brian Weiss, Michael Newton, and Dolores Cannon, and the everyday signs — dreams, fears, déjà vu — that might point to a life before this one. No belief required. Just the evidence, the objections, and what you can notice in your own experience.

In 1983, a US Army intelligence officer was asked to assess a set of audio tapes developed by Robert Monroe, a radio executive who had spent decades exploring out-of-body experiences. His report, "Analysis and Assessment of Gateway Process," was declassified in 2003, released in the CIA's online archive, and went viral almost forty years after it was written, with one page missing.
This episode tells the whole story slowly: the Cold War race for psychic research, Robert Monroe's journeys and the Monroe Institute, Hemi-Sync and binaural beats, the remote viewing programs at Fort Meade, and Lieutenant Colonel Wayne McDonnell's model of consciousness, from the holographic universe to the Absolute. It ends with the missing page 25 and what it says.

Most people waiting to hear their spirit guides are standing at the wrong door. They're listening for a voice in the room, a glowing figure, something impossible to miss — and the whole time, the guidance is arriving as a quiet knowing, a thought from nowhere, a song lyric that won't stop playing. In this episode, we walk through what guide communication actually looks like, the five forms it most commonly takes, how to tell it apart from your own anxious thinking, and why the silence you feel might not mean what you think it does.

What are the Akashic Records, where does the idea come from, and how do people say you can access them? This is the complete history of the Akashic Records, from ancient Babylon to Edgar Cayce, past-life readings and the modern Akashic prayer.
The Akashic Records are described as a cosmic library holding every thought, word and deed of every soul across all its lifetimes. But the idea is thousands of years older than the name. It begins with the Babylonian Tablet of Destinies and the biblical Book of Life, runs through Plato's Myth of Er, the heavenly tablets of Enoch and the Sanskrit concept of ākāśa, and takes in karma, reincarnation, the Preserved Tablet of Islam and the life review reported in near-death experiences.
In the nineteenth century, Helena Blavatsky and the Theosophists gave the records their name, Charles Leadbeater described how to read them, and Rudolf Steiner called them the Akasha Chronicle. Then Edgar Cayce, the sleeping prophet, brought them to ordinary people through thousands of trance readings about past lives and the soul's purpose. We also look at Carl Jung's vision and the collective unconscious, Ian Stevenson's research on children who remember past lives, Brian Weiss and Michael Newton's library between lives, the idea of an Akashic field in physics, and Linda Howe's prayer for opening the Akashic Records yourself.

What is the Higher Self, and where did the idea come from? This slow, calming history follows humanity's oldest recognition, that a wiser part of you never fully descends into ordinary life, from ancient Egypt to modern psychology. Let it play as you drift off, or stay awake and learn.
We begin in Rome around 253 AD with the philosopher Plotinus and his teaching of the undescended soul, then travel back to the Egyptian ka and ba and the Weighing of the Heart. From there we move through the Upanishads and Atman (tat tvam asi), Plato's daimon, Gnosticism and the Poimandres myth, Mani and his heavenly twin, Hermeticism and Nous, the Kabbalistic layers of the soul (nefesh, ruach, neshamah), and the Sufi stages of the nafs and Ibn Arabi's Perfect Human.
In the modern era we cover Emerson's Over-Soul, Blavatsky's seven principles of Theosophy, Annie Besant, Aleister Crowley's Holy Guardian Angel, Alice Bailey's soul-infused personality, the I AM Presence, Carl Jung's Self and individuation, the Seth Material, Michael Newton's between-lives soul self, Assagioli's Psychosynthesis, Frederic Myers's subliminal self, Huna, and Dolores Cannon's work with the subconscious.
