«Kolyskova» translated from Ukrainian as a lullaby. It is a genre that has an ancient tradition in this beautiful country. Each generation of mothers sings gentle kind songs to their children, lulling them to sleep. Warm memories of this remain in the heart for all life.

DJ and producer Serge Proshe has been working on the creation of an album for past two years. The creative idea was to combine lullabies with electronic music.

Here is what author himself tells about his vision - «I was born in Kyiv, and from childhood I loved Ukrainian songs, for their melody, especially lullabies. At some point, the idea came to me to rethink this ancient genre, from the standpoint of modern music. Thus began work on the first compositions. I was lucky because the Chief Director of the National Television and Radio Company of Ukraine opened for me a whole archive of vocal recordings that were made throughout Ukraine over many decades. Some of them were about 70-80 years old. And they are all unique. So they formed the basis of my album. I really want these compositions to help and support people in this difficult time for Ukraine».

At the moment, Serge with a team of volunteers are collecting help for Ukrainian children through his music, performances, and work. He will give his part from the sale of the album to help those who need it so much now. Lullabies will help Children’s.
