GC13, Soren, and David discuss the sixteenth episode of Delicious in Dungeon, Cleaners and Dried With Sweet Sake.
Shuro has finally reunited with his old party, and oh boy is Kabru savoring the drama. Chilchuck, we’re disappointed in you: how could you possibly think Laios was better able to handle himself in a social encounter than Senshi?
But this is just a setup for episode seventeen. We’ve seen what’s become of Falin, and there’s a big fight feel in the air.
GC13, Soren, and David discuss Over the Garden Wall in honor of its tenth anniversary.
Do you think the events of Over the Garden Wall “really” happened? Do you think it matters? Whether it happened or not Wirt really benefited from the journey, gaining a lot of character growth. Also somehow Jason Funderburker the frog got something in his stomach to glow.
And just a plug for David’s sake: listen to The Blasting Company, formerly known as the Petrojvic Blasting Company.
GC13, Soren, and David discuss the fifteenth episode of Delicious in Dungeon, Dryad and Cockatrice.
You know what we’ve needed? A funny episode. Well, this episode has jokes for days, and they land. Do you want to see all of the disapproving faces Marcille is capable of making? Well so do we, and this episode delivers!
That’s not to say it’s all fun and games. Laios is learning magic now, and even his mana sickness is funny. It’s enough to make you afraid for what’s coming, isn’t it?
GC13 and Soren discuss the fourteenth episode of Delicious in Dungeon, Sea Serpent.
Now that we’ve properly raised the stakes for our brave adventurers, it’s time for us to dip back in time and follow a different group of adventurers! Kabru has a truly bizarre obsession with Falin and Laios, and quite a high skill at murdering people.
And now he’s teaming up with with another of our dear friends. Oh boy, we’re going to love these upcoming episodes, aren’t we?
GC13, Soren, and David discuss the thirteenth episode of Delicious in Dungeon, Red Dragon 3 and Good Medicine.
And here we are: the second half of the season sees the rug pulled out from under our heroes as we’re properly introduced to the Mad Mage. As you might imagine, he’s not very popular ’round these parts.
Thankfully Senshi has a reliable smell, even if he’s had to take a bath recently. Not today, Zon’s Sister, not today…
GC13, Soren, and David discuss the twelfth episode of Delicious in Dungeon, Red Dragon 2.
We didn’t get to eat in the last episode so now it’s time to cook some dragon! Just, maybe pick a better cooking spot next time Senshi.
Marcille may have brought a bit of darkness, but even considering the time spent on skeleton assembly this was overall a happy episode. Wait a minute, we’re only halfway through the season. You’re not planning on hurting us emotionally, are you Delicious in Dungeon?
GC13, Soren, and David discuss the eleventh episode of Delicious in Dungeon, Red Dragon 1.
The dragon is down and questions abound! Why was it so active? Can Falin be revived? Who among the party was the biggest hero in that fight? It was definitely an epic struggle against a powerful foe.
But now that their enemy has been felled surely this is a sign of only good things to come, right? We can fix this, can’t we?
GC13, Soren, and David discuss the tenth episode of Delicious in Dungeon, Giant Frogs and Aboveground.
Well we’re not even halfway through the season and they’ve already arrived where they’re going to need to do battle with a red dragon in order to save Falin’s life, things probably don’t go well for them (Chilchuck probably used up all of their luck during the giant frog fight anyway).
Now, help us settle a disagreement: do you think they look cute in their frog suits or not?
GC13, Soren, and David discuss the ninth episode of Delicious in Dungeon, Tentacles and Stew.
This is the episode where we meet Namari (who is not Nimona!), as well as her new party. Mr. Tansu seems… Nice. Yeah… At least he’s willing to heal Marcille though, after he gets paid.
And Marcille decides that if you’ve got an angry undine spawn camping you, there’s nothing left to do but trap it into a pot and make yourself some delicious stew. And it even does double duty as a mana potion!
GC13, Soren, and David discuss the eighth episode of Delicious in Dungeon, Raspberries and Grilled Meat.
It may end in a loss, but Marcille gets an unbelievably epic fight against the undine, lovingly animated by Studio Trigger. A great combination of exact duplication of manga panels where appropriate, and ramping up the action when necessary.
And since Studio Trigger never can truly escape magic school, Marcille also flashes us back to the time she met the almost-feral child who was Falin. And yet still as sweet as ever.
