The Salvation Army’s Reading Central church provided summer lunch club to local children. Summer can bring financial strains for families struggling to feed and care for children who would normally be in school. Through a partnership with local primary schools The Salvation Army provided healthy meals, crafts, and activities for families until the school term started again. Throughout the summer holidays many Salvation Army centers offer breakfast and lunch clubs, food boxes, activity bags and access to free school uniforms.
