  "The gallery was established in 1941, and there are 200 officers protecting its two buildings and outdoor sculpture garden in Washington, D.C. they protect a priceless art collection as well as the visitors, staff and facilities. Their key responsibilities are preventing theft, vandalism, and unauthorized removal of artwork. They patrol. They respond to emergencies and security threats. But their job is a little different from a basic security guard or from another police officer. They have to understand fire procedures, first aid, and cpr."

The police force operated under the U.S. bureau of Reclamation, which was unique. No other bureau office maintained its own police department. The primary responsibility of the Hoover Dam police was to safeguard the dam, fittingly enough, and the power plant, the employees, and the millions of annual visitors."

Their primary duties are to protect zoo visitors, staff, volunteers and the animals. The forest operates 24 7. It patrols the zoo's 163 acre campus and the research facility I mentioned, which is 3200 acres. Officers undergo rigorous training. They're equipped to respond to a wide range of incidents from public safety emergencies to dealing with animal escapes."

  "She denied the theft, but she openly confessed to her past as a pirate. Despite her admissions and pleas, she was found guilty of highway robbery and sentenced to death. On October 8, 1789, she was hanged before a large crowd on Boston Common, marking the end of her notorious career and making her the last woman executed in Massachusetts.   "After the disaster, survivors were ordered to resume loading munitions at a nearby depot without any improvements to safety or additional training. Fearing for their lives, 258 Black soldiers were refused to return to work. They were threatened with severe punishment, and most of them relented. But 50 men, later known as the Port Chicago Five, continued to refuse. The Navy charged these 50 men with mutiny, which is a grave offense. It implies a conspiracy to overthrow military authority."
