Buckle your safety belts, this is going to be a bumpy ride! Niantic announced some rollbacks to temporary bonuses that have sent shockwaves through the Community on Social Media. This will lead to a Poke The Bear segment at the end of the show that pushes Ken to the limit!

Before we get there, there is still plenty of news to cover, including our last week of gameplay and the onslaught of events coming in October. We make sense of it all and keep you informed on what to look out for!

We have new info on Pokémon GO and HOME integration that thanks to a translation issue, was not taken well by the Community. While complete details aren’t yet available, we should probably all not speculate too hard on the way things will work.

The state of Twitter has degraded very quickly recently. A small but very loud group of trolls decided to take on Ken regarding Niantic’s responsibility to player safety. Things take a sharp turn early in the conversation, the original questions get left in the dust, and hilarity ensues as Ken tries to keep it together while reading through the responses!

While Mega September is wrapping up, Niantic has released their October schedule which will keep Trainers as busy as ever! Before getting into the October prep, we break down the last week of September including the Mega-Buddy event, Articuno in Raids, Porygon Community Day and Spearow Spotlight Hour!

Next month will be just as busy with a weekly Legendary Raid Boss rotation, four weeks of Spotlights (now with hats!), an upcoming Halloween Event, as well as the shift to Ultra League in the GO Battle League! Also don’t forget about Charmander Community Day and the missing Victini Special Research!

The Pokémon Company and the French fashion company Longchamp have collaborated on a line of handbags which will be celebrated in Pokémon GO! We get an Avatar Item as well as a short event featuring a bunch of costume Pokémon! We discuss whether or not their Shiny variants will be available, and if Pikachu with the World Hat can evolve!

Another busy week to break down in the World of Pokémon GO! We start by recapping the last week of gameplay, including Cresselia in Five Star Raids, Houndoom Spotlight Hour and the 2nd Mega September Event. We will also prep you for the return of Articuno with a Raid Guide and Battle Party, as well as a look at the next week’s worth of events and releases.

Pokeminers ripped through the 0.187.0 APK and we take a look at all of the interesting nuggets that they have found. Some exciting stuff including the return of Evolution Quests as well as a tin foil hat theory that this can be applied to Mega Evolutions. Lots of stuff to sift through here.

GO Stadium asks the question of, “Should Spoofers/Cheaters be allowed to reintegrate into their community?”. We take a look at their article and answer their questions to share our feelings on the topic. We are pretty split on this one, so it made for a great segment!

After a pretty quiet week on the gameplay front, it is time to gather our resources and prepare for another exciting week of events. Many of us took it easy over a lackluster first week of the Mega September event, mixed with a not so great launch of Megas. This upcoming week however, looks to be more exciting and have a lot more going on!

We have the return of Cresselia, new Timed Research, and updated encounter pool, and a new Shiny to help us through the week. We are also still scratching our heads over Mega Pidgeot, which we expect to be announced on Monday. Tentacool Raid Hour and the updated Mega economy may have what it takes to get Trainers excited again.

Niantic has announced their Planet Scale AR Alliance which consists of some powerhouses in mobile networking, communications, and investments. As we prepare for the release of 5G, initiatives like this will usher in the technology that will help us make the most of an updated network, both in and out of the game.

We wrap things up with a Mega Pidgeot Raid Guide and Battle Party, in hopes of luring it to us this week. While PokeBattler has Shadow Pokémon at the top of its list, they may not be the most practical to use. Make sure to tag us on social with the Battle Parties that you are going to bring!
