Episode 42 : 17-year-old Taylor Behl disappeared on Labor Day, September 5, 2005, just two weeks after starting her freshman year at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond, Virginia. Surveillance footage showed her leaving her dormitory with Benjamin Fawley, a 38-year-old amateur photographer she had met online earlier that year. Investigators used Fawley's internet activity—specifically photos he posted on MySpace—to narrow down the search. An ex-girlfriend of Fawley recognized a photo of a rural farm in Mathews County, Virginia, where they had previously visited. Sadly, on October 5, 2005, a month after she vanished, Behl's remains were found in a shallow grave in a remote area of Mathews County. Her case became one of the first major criminal cases solved using social media evidence. So what happened to Taylor Behl?
