  • Adultery and Thy Heart
If you cut off your right hand what can your right hand do that your left hand cannot also learn to do? Jesus is not speaking to the mutilation of the body but rather the matter of the heart because if you plucked out both your eyes you will grope after sin with your hands, and if you cut off your hands you will run after sin with your feet, and if you cut off your feet you would crawl like a worm after sin.

  • The Aid in Perilous Times
False teachers abound in this world and in our present society. We must take care to diligently vet all men before we take them into confidence. The task may seem daunting, but we have a great aid in the Word of God by which all men will stand or fall.

  • Our Great God And Saviour, Jesus Christ
Titus 2:11-15 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. 15 ¶ These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

  • The Lord of Refuge - Jonah 2:7-10
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble—not delayed help, not theoretical help, and not help after we have made ourselves presentable. As Jonah's prayer from the fish comes to its close, we set it beside Psalm 46 and the church's first movement in Acts 4. This sermon presses four truths: The Lord is a present help in the pit, not a last resort. Sin is descent. God brings up. Discipline does not cancel the covenant. When the soul faints, we turn first to the Lord and His Word, not back to our sins. Memory of Scripture is how covenant people survive Sheol. Those who regard vain idols forsake their faithfulness. False refuges—delay, approval, lust, wounds, politics, despair, even orthodox sentences used to withhold mercy—abandon the only shelter we had. Salvation is from the LORD. Not from the prophet, the prayer, the vow, or the beach. The fish vomits Jonah onto dry land with the old commission still waiting. We confront a Christianity of delay that baptizes postponement as humility: praying when we have language, assembling when we are less angry, opening the Bible when we feel less hypocritical, telling the elders after the sin is managed, coming to the Table when we feel worthy. That is not reverence. It is unbelief with religious vocabulary. The worthy communicant is not the clean man. The worthy communicant is the needy man who looks away from himself to Christ. Blessed are all who take refuge in Him.

  • Manifesting A Godly Change
This sermon explores the biblical mandate for believers to manifest a godly change in their lives, grounded in the liberty found in Christ. It emphasizes that this freedom is not a license for self-indulgence but a call to serve others through love and to walk in the Spirit rather than fulfilling the lusts of the flesh. The message contrasts the visible works of the flesh with the transformative fruit of the Spirit, arguing that genuine salvation produces a discernible difference in character and conduct. It challenges listeners to move beyond mere profession of faith by actively crucifying their sinful nature and allowing the Holy Spirit to govern their daily actions. The tone is convicting yet encouraging, urging believers to pursue spiritual growth and visible godliness as evidence of their new identity in Christ.

  • Where is the Battle Inside Me Coming From?
This lesson explores the theological framework of human nature as a triune being composed of body, soul, and spirit, explaining the internal conflict between the Adamic nature and the Holy Spirit. It identifies the body as the vessel influenced by the five senses and the world system, while the soul, comprising mind, will, and emotions, serves as the decision-making center where strongholds and lies reside. The teaching emphasizes that salvation justifies the believer but does not remove the sinful nature of the flesh, necessitating a process of sanctification through the renewal of the mind and the tearing down of strongholds. By contrasting the works of the flesh with the fruit of the Spirit, the message urges believers to yield to the Holy Spirit rather than relying on self-effort or behavioral modification alone. Ultimately, the sermon presents a holistic view of spiritual growth where transformation occurs from the inside out, enabling believers to walk in the Spirit and overcome the lusts of the flesh.

  • Stewardship of Money
The sermon addresses the spiritual dangers of financial bondage, identifying the lust of the eyes as a primary cause of a defiled conscience. It establishes that all wealth belongs to God and warns against the deceptive nature of riches, which can lead to pride, idolatry, and misery. The speaker outlines practical biblical principles for financial health, including diligent work, saving with a budget, avoiding debt on depreciating assets, and resisting impulse buying. Emphasis is placed on generous giving and tithing as acts of worship that protect believers from spiritual destruction. Ultimately, faithful management of money serves as a test of character and a prerequisite for receiving greater spiritual responsibilities.
