Yogilocco is a South African DJ & Producer, His musical career spans more than 2 decades in his early childhood influence from his father who was a Raggae lover, who had a reggae collection and was a Sound Technician,

Yogilocco Growing up had love for Kwaito and Deep house his mentors were Mdu Masilela, Goofy, Glen Lewis, Vinny Da Vinci to name a few standing out strong in his musical style.

His djying Career began in Townships Shebeens the early 2000’s during that time he was in a Group called Vynil Warrior Crew (VWC) a Group that was dedicated in playing with only Vynils and was in Competitions and had relations with Syndicade records and Dj Mixclub.

in 2005 he began a new journey as Resident Dj in Club Saracens, Vudu Loung and MVG Lounge, Capellos where he met big names such as Glen Lewis, Vinny da vincy, Dj Fresh, Christos, Rocco, Frank Roger, Dj Terrance, Dj Claude, Oskido, Black Coffee, Fistaz and many more.

He began producing music in 2006 then 2007 went and Study Sound Engineering and has been abroad as a Sound Technicinan and on Corporate events as Audio Visual Technician.
With his love of music Yogilocco also Studied music business and Music Science.

In the past years Yogilocco decided to open up his own label named (Loccoworks) as an Independent artist, he also released music on reputed labels such as Rogue decibels, TD Grooves, Candid Beings, Regional Sounds and Soulcandi.

Thukela Khumalo, aka Tukz Ancestral, is a versatile self-taught Deep House DJ and music producer. Originally from Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), he is now based in Cape Town. Tukz Ancestral fell in love with music at an early age, as he grew up in a household where music was always playing in the background while doing chores or for entertainment purposes. In 2018, with an undying passion and an eagerness to learn about how sound came about, he met Siphe Tebeka, who was already familiar with music production. This encounter inspired Tukz Ancestral to build his first Digital Audio Work Station.

Tukz Ancestral’s sound is influenced by the fusion of deep house and electro elements, which sum the versatility of his projects. He released his first project “Thoughts Of You” under Artful Recordings and that was followed by EPs “Alule” under Local Family Records, “People Talk” under Monocles’ Music, “Can of Warms” under Altitude Of House Music, “Two Definition” under Rogue Decibels, and “Mam’Lambo” under Housequiz 012.

He has also featured on The Deep House Space Vol2, Dreamers Compilation by AFR Records, Fading Away Ep by Yogilocco, just to mention a few.

With the sole purpose of exalting the music culture, he co-founded the label TD Grooves Records, together with music enthusiasts, Deep Sort 95. The label was established in 2020, and it aims at giving upcoming deep house producers a platform to showcase their talent.

He has also released other projects titled Thukela, Soul In Mind, Hypnosis, Bunono, Qhudeni, Muzik & Friendz and Unspoken under TD Grooves and most of his tracks have been featured on various compilations around the globe

Shanzo is a deep, dub house DJ and electronic music producer known for creating mesmerizing and soulful sounds that transport listeners to another dimension. His dedication to his craft led him to embark on a musical odyssey, bringing him to groovy streets of Cape Town. His smooth transitions, deep grooves, and melodic storytelling behind the decks has earned him a young following in the city's underground music scene.

For the last mix of our GQ section, we have none other than Sean Munnick 🙌🏽🔥😮‍💨

Sean Munnick has laid the foundation and lead the way for many producers in PE over the past 15 years, being a pioneer of the “PE sound “ in house music .

He has produced music under more than one alias
- each with their own sound - such as Nigurr & he’s
1 half of Munnibrotherz.

He has been featured on many stages over the years, most notably on BoilerRoom, and has never been restricted to one single genre of music.

For the third edition of the series, we welcome back Thavesh Govender!

Thavesh Govender born and raised in Gqeberha South Africa is a deep house Dj that specializes in melodic sounds and groovy basslines which has helped him become one of the many successful deep house DJs in his city.

His journey began in 2018 and his unique selections and transitions has allowed him to perform alongside the biggest artists in South Africa.

Due to his natural ability to engage and control a crowd he started getting recognized throughout Gqeberha which allowed him to perform at some of the biggest venues and events which include Airforce One Music Festival, Lovemore Stance Festival, DeepBrew Sun-daze, Fused Sunset, Sip n Chill, The Blend, Flowers, Just Groovin' and many more.

For the next episode we have a talented young guest known as KDY 97.

​KDY 97 is a South African deep house producer hailing from the coastal city of Gqeberha. Known for his atmospheric textures, intricate percussion, and deep, pulsating basslines, KDY 97 has been recognized as a rising talent in the South African deep house scene. His work has been featured in mixes alongside esteemed local producers, showcasing his ability to transport listeners to a realm of pure musical euphoria. ​

In 2021, KDY 97 released the EP "Conversations" on Selville Records, featuring tracks like "Conversations," "Drifting," and "Images." The following year, he released the EP "Play It Loud!" on Stay True Sounds. These releases highlight his commitment to crafting evocative music that resonates with deep house enthusiasts.​

Introducing our latest segment, the SA Tour Mix Series, where we have DJs from around South Africa share their craft and love of Deep House.

Our first stop is in the city of Gqeberha, with our first guest being the one and only Radiane.

Radiane is a rising force in the deep house scene. As a producer and remixer, he has been steadily carving out his place in the industry, captivating audiences with his distinctive sound.
