There were lots of hot takes on Episode 3 as we discuss Black Lives Matter (the statement and organization) and the Kenosha incident. So we needed 2 parts! On Part 1 we launch into everything with a reminder that we don't find our hope in political or cultural solutions, the only true hope is the Gospel of Christ.Links & References:Isaiah 53:5https://www.bible.com/bible/100/ISA.53.NASB Indentured servitude vs. race based slaveryhttps://www.pbs.org/opb/historydetectives/feature/indentured-servants-in-the-us/ Three fifths compromisehttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three-Fifths_CompromiseWhat did Abraham Lincoln think about slavery?https://www.history.com/news/5-things-you-may-not-know-about-lincoln-slavery-and-emancipation https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abraham_Lincoln%27s_first_inaugural_addressBlack Lives Matter, differentiating the statement and the organizationhttps://youtu.be/HgEUbSzOTZ8https://youtu.be/8J68p5l-gjQ Kenosha, timeline of eventshttps://www.insider.com/jacob-blake-police-shooting-timeline-kenosha-wisconsin-2020-8 Follow and Subscribe:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lyceumpodcast/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcXLlqGNleq8kkgQM9fZv4gSpotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/5WWvdgkBgKa5ipviGUcP44 Apple Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/lyceum-podcast/id1528260193 Podbean: https://lyceumpodcast.podbean.com/

On episode 2 we’re looking at the media industry and how it regularly distorts the facts. In the process we hit Bill Gates and Genetically Modified Mosquitoes (0X5034), social media censorship, Save the Children, our issue with Cuties, Joe Biden’s creepy tendencies and more. On episode 1 we’re diving into the much debated issue about masks. By design the conversation is free flowing and we limit ourselves to 40 minutes, when the timer goes off, we’re done! During the episode we discuss protests, Portland riots and the tragedy of George Floyd (our deepest condolences to the Floyd family).Mask Arguments:Pizza ShopCoffee Shop Follow and Subscribe: Instagram @LyceumPodcastSpotifyApple Podcast Podbean
