In this Episode, Dave and Deb talk about Sir Elton John and the lyrics to “Your Song”.  The show opens with a quick question about the previous episode in which Dave, Ian, Nevin, & Jason discuss Tom Petty & the Heartbreaker’s “Here comes my girl”.  This leads to Deb responding to Jason’s question of whether or not the Beatles are overrated.  This segues into the introduction of British Invasion into popular American music to include the music and lyrics of Elton John & Bernie Taupin.  The duo break down “Your song” bit by bit and label it a love song, though not necessarily romantic love.  Perhaps its beauty is in its timeless message, simplicity, and words and lyrics that tug the heart-strings–not to mention the title that gives everyone equal claim to it.
