With no recent movies to review, Richard Wolley rejoins the podcast to discuss some of our favorite scary movies and some of the classic horror films we've been catching up with this month. We talk about 80s gore flicks, paranoia-driven horror and gross-out body-concious horror. We also debate which fiilms are better between "American Werewolf in London" vs. "The Howling" and "Dawn of the Dead" vs. "Day of the Dead." At the end of the show, we recommend some of our favorite horror gems currently streaming on Netflix.
This week horror-enthusiast and filmmaker Sam Wineman joins the podcast to discuss his new short "The Quiet Room." We also talk about the influence of queer-themed horror, Sam's time working with Blumhouse Productions and early 2000s Mtv docu-dramas. We also review Blumhouse's latest slasher film "Happy Death Day" and for our Netflix Homework we discuss the Netflix Original film "The Babysitter," directed by McG.
We kick off October 2017 with our review of the long-awaited sci-fi sequel "Blade Runner 2049." We also discuss the news about the developing Gambit standalone movie, a Hugh Heffner biopic, as well as the recent Harvey Weinstein revelations. For our Netflix Homework we review the Turkish extream horror film "Baskin."

We discuss Adam McKay's Dick Cheney biopic, the all-female "Lord of the Flies" project, and together we review the highly anticipated, record-shattering adaptation of Stephen King's 1986 horror novel "It." No Netflix homework this week. Sorry.
