This week on Macklin's Take me & Matt talk to Professor Damian Hughes, co-host of the High Performance podcast, author, and son of the legendary Manchester trainer Bryan Hughes MBE.
Damian grew up surrounded by boxing and has spent his career in large part studying why elite coaches and athletes do what they do and how they go about doing it; the behaviours they insist upon and the logic they employ.
And we started off with a question that has always intrigued me: Why does anyone choose a boxing life? A big question and our attempt to answer it led to a really enjoyable conversation.
Macklin's Take is also now on YouTube so if you could take a minute to head over to the channel, check out the content and subscribe, that would be much appreciated.
