Jacob came into Macomb Twp Chiropractic to Prevent Back and Disc Surgery. He Suffered with severe low back, hip, and sciatic pain after being in a car accident a few months before. He was ranking his pain level at a 10 out of 10 on our pain scale. He complained that he was barely able to walk, unable to stand, work, or drive, and was basically bed-bound. He was seeing his primary doctor and an orthopedic surgeon for his back pain, and they told him he had severe disc bulges and needed surgery as soon as possible, as that was the only solution for his severe pain. Nathan decided to try one last option before surgery, and come into our office. Dr. Chris took some x-rays and found multiple areas in his spine that were very misaligned, and the disc bulges that were pinching on many of the nerves in his back. Jacob was immediately put on a care plan which included regular chiropractic adjustments, treatment on our disc decompression machine, postural rehabilitation (to correct the shape of the spine), and muscle and nerve gun therapy. After just six short weeks, Nathans new x-rays showed improvement, and he stated on his re-exam form he felt "totally better" in almost all of the areas of pain he had when he first came in. Nathan continued with his treatments and today, just four months later, he is completely pain free and no longer is a candidate for back surgery. His life is back to normal and he is working again, driving, walking pain free, and sleeping with no issues. He did a video testimonial for us because he was so happy with the success he's had coming into our office and working with Dr. Chris. He actually stated he feels "stronger today than he did before his accident."
Back surgery is always a risk, and many doctors will tell you that you have no other options to relieve the pain especially if you have disc bulges. But Nathan is a perfect example that you have other options! Chiropractic should always be a consideration before deciding upon surgery. Listen to Jacobs YouTube video testimonial on how he was able to prevent back and disc surgery at Macomb Township Chiropractic in Macomb County MI.
Tinnitus, sometimes referred to as ringing in the ears, is that annoying perception of sound that does not have an external source. It affects over 50 million people a year, and most doctors do not have a cure for it. While symptoms for tinnitus can vary from a constant ringing sound to buzzing or humming, these noises can become more than annoying for someone who's
experiencing them. Tinnitus can interfere with sleeping and concentrating, working and relaxing, and begin to take a toll on you mentally. Many people with long term tinnitus report having daily stress, headaches, and irritability, fatigue, dizziness, and memory issues. Many doctors try to find underlying causes for tinnitus such as earwax buildup or internal ear damage, but the vast majority only offer help to manage the symptoms. They suggest sound, antidepressants or anti-anxiety meds to reduce the emotional impact, or surgery, often with cochlear implants. But doctors do not address one of the main possible causes for tinnitus, which is nerve interference. Evidence, however, suggests misalignments in the neck or spine can result in nerve pressure that directly disrupts nerve signals to the auditory system. Nerve endings in the neck have connections to the hearing centers in the brain, and if nerves are pinched, normal signals are disrupted, causing inflammation, decrease of blood flow, and the potential for tinnitus.
A Chiropractor named Dr. Chris McNeil, at Macomb Township Chiropractic, has successfully helped patients who have come into their office complaining about tinnitus. His office specializes in state-of-the art Chiropractic treatments that restore the normal alignment of the spine, to take the pinching and pressure off of the nerves that control the inner ear and hearing centers. Dr. Chris stated: "Tinnitus can be the result of underlying conditions",specifically "misalignments in the neck that cause nerve pressure".
A recent patient named Phil received tinnitus relief therapy and treatments at Macomb Township Chiropractic. He complained that his tinnitus was taking over his life and he "couldn't think straight," and "couldn't do anything!" After a complete consultation and Chiropractic x-rays, Dr. Chris quickly noticed the multiple misalignments in Phil's neck that he believed were directly causing his headaches and tinnitus. With the help of regular Chiropractic adjustments and postural rehabilitation treatments, Phil reported after just six short weeks, his tinnitus was completely gone.
So how exactly does a Chiropractor help tinnitus? At Macomb Twp Chiropractic they use specific and scientific Chiropractic rehab to realigns the spine using postural adjustments and traction to relieve any pressure on the nerves, as well as increasing blood flow to the brain and auditory system and improving overall nerve function.
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a condition that causes pain, numbness, and weakness in your fingers and hands. It often develops from repetitive hand or wrist motion, an injury, or certain medical conditions. Symptoms are caused by pressure on your median nerve, a long nerve that runs the length of your arm and enters a small passage in your wrist called your carpal tunnel. These symptoms usually develop slowly, but if not treated will worsen with time. Besides numbness and pain, you may develop tingling or burning sensations, shock-like feelings through your fingers, trouble holding onto things, and loss of feeling. You may develop more pain and muscle cramping, and muscles in your hand may degrade to a critical point where surgery is the only option for relief.
While traditional treatments for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome include drugs, injections, and often surgery, Macomb Township Chiropractic, in Macomb County Michigan, wants you to know they can help with a healthier alternative. Dr. Chris McNeil has been a practicing Chiropractic for over twenty years, and has had success in treating patients with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Since pinched nerves are the primary culprit with Carpal Tunnel, Chiropractic sets out to relieve these pinched nerves in the spine and other parts of the body. Often misalignments in the spine can cause pain and numbness in the arms, wrists, and hands as nerves from the spine travel to all parts of the body. Manual adjustments to realign the spine relieve nerve pressure to all areas of the body, and direct manipulation to the median nerve can relieve many symptoms of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
One patient named Rachel found Carpal Tunnel Relief at Macomb Township Chiropractic . Rachel, a long time nail technician, was suffering for years with numbness and pain in her arms, wrists and hands. The pain was affecting her work and home life. Traditional methods of treatment were unsuccessful, so she paid a visit to see Dr. Chris. After Chiropractic x-rays were taken on Rachel, numerous areas in her spine showed misalignments, which Dr. Chris felt were directly affecting the pain and numbness she was having. She was put on a treatment plan which included chiropractic adjustments and postural rehabilitation (which works to retain the brain to realign the spine back to a more normal position). Just two short months later, Rachel reported improvement, and stated she was able to work longer hours at work again. After one year of treatment, Rachel states she is feeling "wonderful", is able to work again without pain or numbness, and it has greatly improved her home life. She boasted about her carpal tunnel pain and numbness relief at Macomb Township Chiropractic on a YouTube video testimonial.
Austin, a young man, came into Macomb Twp Chiropractic with poor posture concerns a few years ago. He stated he had bad posture and noticed a distinct "hunch" in his back, which he felt he had most of his life. He was also having headaches, neck pain, and back pain, which was affecting his everyday life. Austin noted it was interfering with his working out as well as at his job. On his consultation sheet, he listed his pain levels in his back at 9's on a scale from 0-10, and his neck and headaches, at 5's.
After analyzing Austin's x-rays, Dr. Chris noted there was too much curve in his back, and his posture was out of alignment. The misalignments in his spine were also putting pressure on many of his nerves, which was contributing to the high level of pain Austin was experiencing. Dr. Chris created a care plan specific to Austin's needs, which included manual adjustments, postural traction therapy, muscle gun stimulation, and heat and ice therapy. The specified treatments were geared to not only correcting the misalignments in Austin's spine, but to correct the curve in his back to achieve a closer to normal position. After just four months of therapy, new x-rays were taken and improvement was noted by Dr. Chris. Austin said he felt he was about 60% better, and his numbers decreased to 5's from 9's. After one year, Austin's x-rays showed considerable change in the curve in his back, and Austin stated he was "totally better" in most areas. He noticed the change in his posture and only had slight back pain which he noted as 2's, on the scale from 0-10. His headaches were completely gone, and he was not experiencing any neck pain anymore.
Austin was able to achieve his goal of improving his posture at our office, and said he doesn't notice the once obvious hunch in his back. His life has improved by being able to work out again without pain, and get through the work day pain free. Watch Austin and Dr. Chris in his Macomb Twp Chiropractic Chiropractor Poor Posture YouTube testimonial talking his improvements.
Poor Posture usually stems from the spine being aligned in an unnatural position. It can be seen by having rounded shoulders, a forward head, or a slumped or hunchback. Poor posture can not only lead to pain and discomfort, but potential health issues. Poor posture can actually begin in childhood from spinal deformities such as scoliosis, or just from excessive slouching. Long hours in school or in front of a screen, carrying a backpack, or lack of physical activity contribute to poor childhood posture. Adults can acquire poor posture from extended periods of sitting at a computer at work, carrying heavy objects regularly, or weak core muscles. Poor posture at any age can lead to permanent structural changes and have long-term consequences.
What are the Symptoms of Poor Posture?
Symptoms of poor posture can manifest in many ways. These can include pain, stiffness, soreness, and additional physical issues. Common symptoms include pain in the neck, back, and shoulders, low back pain, headaches, muscle strain or stiffness, spasms, body aches, nerve compression, and decreased range of motion.
What Kind of Problems Arise from Poor Posture?
Many problems can arise if poor posture is not corrected. Besides pain, other issues can include: breathing difficulties, digestive issues, jaw pain, poor balance, decreased mood and mental health issues, reduced flexibility, fatigue, increased risk of falls, poor circulation, foot and knee problems, sleep disorder, and joint and muscle dysfunction.
How Does Chiropractic Help?
Chiropractic is one of the most effective ways to improve posture. Chiropractors can identify misalignments, assess your current posture, and use techniques including spinal adjustments to correct and restore proper alignment and posture. Chiropractic helps to balance muscle support and relieves pinched nerves, all which help facilitate proper posture and overall body healing.

Your hips are an important part in maintaining almost everything you do on a daily basis. You need them to walk, support your weight, stand up, sit down, and maintain your balance. Your hip joint connects your thigh bone to your pelvis, which also connects to numerous muscles, tendons, ligaments, and nerves. Unfortunately, hip pain is one of the most common pains you can develop and may be caused by overuse, injury, bursitis, tendinitis, inflammation, or sciatica.
Untreated hip pain can lead to several problems. These can include: difficulty with daily activities, potential for serious injury due to falling, balance and mobility issues, difficulty sleeping, and overall instability. Chronic hip pain can lead to arthritis, pain pills, injections and even surgery.
A Chiropractor in Macomb Township offers Hip Pain Relief Treatments that are a healthy alternative to a traditional medical medial approach. Dr. Chris McNeil, Macomb Township Chiropractic Chiropractor says, "there's a natural way to help with your hip pain." Instead of going for a "temporary fix" with pain medications or steroid injections, Dr. Chris says he will "find the source of your pain and eliminate it." Since the spine connects virtually every muscle, tissue, and organ in your body with trillions of nerves, finding misalignment's in your spine and correcting them with Chiropractic Rehab will relieve pinched nerves and hip pain and pressure. Macomb Township Chiropractic offers state of the art treatments for hip pain which include more than manual adjustments. Dr. Chris utilizes a disc-decompression table, postural rehabilitation (which combines traditional chiropractic and physical therapy), muscle and nerve gun stimulation, and more. He told Dr. Chris the pain was "sharp" and "constant", except when he was lying in bed. Damion said his whole life was being impacted by the pain, and was looking for help his regular doctors couldn't provide. After finding many misalignment's in Damion's spine, Dr. Chris created a care plan for him, which included regular adjustments with stretching and rolling, nerve and muscle gun therapy, and postural rehabilitation therapy. Within three months, Damion's x-rays showed improvement, and he stated he was "totally better." Dr. Chris and his staff welcome anyone in Macomb County suffering from hip pain to come into the office to see if they can help. Deborah is the perfect example of someone who received knee pain relief at Macomb Township Chiropractic. She came into our office just a short time ago stating her main concern was her knee pain. She also had mid and low back pain, and was rating her pain level at a 10 on a scale from 1-10. She was walking using a walker or cane, and complained about not being able to sleep at night. She couldn't get in and out of a car and stated she had trouble doing just about everything! Deb tried physical therapy twice for her knee pain and told us it did nothing to help! Being a little older, Deb was also dealing with some other medical issues so was seeking an alternative to more traditional medical care.
We did a full consultation with Deborah and took Chiropractic x-rays on her first visit, and Dr. Chris found areas in her spine that were misaligned. These misalignment's were putting pressure on the nerves associated with her back and also her knees. Deborah's gate was also off which was adding additional, unnecessary pressure on her knees when she walked. Dr. Chris tailored a care plan for Deb which included regular Chiropractic adjustments, postural rehabilitation and disc decompression therapy. In just four short months Deb was having such great results she shot a YouTube video testimonial of her Macomb Twp Chiropractic knee pain success story. She stated today she is doing "very good!" Her balance has improved, she doesn't need to use a walker or cane anymore, she is sleeping good, and said she "feels like she's back to normal!" When asked what her pain level is today, Deb said it's a zero.

Laura, a 60's something young lady, came into our Macomb Township Chiropractic with neck pain and low back pain. She described her pain in her neck as constant, and rated it at a 7 on a scale of 1-10 for severity. Laura said she was suffering with the pain for over a year and was finding no relief from the over the counter medications she was taking or from her doctors. She stated that she sat a lot at work, was an avid bowler, and confessed she looked at her cell phone a lot throughout the day, which was causing what we term as "text neck." Text neck is a rather new but becoming very common problem where one puts their neck in an unnatural position repeatedly, causing the spine to realign in an unnatural position. This causes pinched nerves and misalignments, which causes pain, irritation, and inflammation of the neck.
Laura's neck pain was affecting her day to day activities which included driving and sleeping, walking, working, and recreational activities. She also mentioned she recently developed knee pain which she thinks may be from walking funny due to the neck and back pain she had.
We took x-rays of Laura on her first visit and after analysis from Dr. Chris found, multiple misalignments in the spine in the neck and back area were found. Laura began a specific care plan tailored to her needs, which included chiropractic adjustments, postural rehabilitation, electrical stimulation, massage bed, and ice therapy. After six weeks of therapy, another set of x-rays were taken and improvement was shown. Laura also documented her neck was "mildly better" and that she didn't wake up with pain anymore! She was also pleased her bowling had improved.
Laura has been a patient with us for about 7 months now at Macomb Twp Chiropractic and her last re-exam showed even greater improvement. Today she is rating her neck pain at a 2, which is a great improvement from the 7 when she started. She has boasted she has no more back pain and is feeling well. She stated in her testimonial her daughter had noticed that she was developing a hump in the bottom of her neck due to poor posture of her head, and it's now straightened out and her posture looks so much better! Here's Laura's Macomb Township Chiropractic Neck Pain Relief YouTube Testimonial.
Neck pain is one of the most common problems a person can experience. It can be caused by misalignments in the spine, traumas, poor posture, strains, disc degeneration, or arthritis. Pinching of the nerves in the neck causes pain, irritation, and inflammation in the neck and all surrounding muscles and tissues. Overuse of a cell phone today is also a common reason for neck pain. Putting the neck in an unnatural position for many hours a day can cause permanent misalignment of the neck. What are the Symptoms of Neck Pain?Pain can range from dull or excruciating, which can be in one spot or radiate to other parts of the body such as the shoulders or arms. Muscle tightness and spasms, decreased ability to turn the head, headaches, shoulder pain, numbness and tingling, and loss of strength in the arms or hands are also symptoms.
What Kind of Problems Arise from Neck Pain?Headaches, spasms, difficulty sleeping, trouble performing daily activities, turning your head, sitting, standing, bending, driving, working, and even relaxing. Constant neck pain can cause emotional problems as well.
How Does Chiropractic Help?Chiropractic adjustments help relieve neck pain and stiffness by correcting misalignments in the spine, increasing joint mobility and mechanics, and reducing pressure on the nerves. This increases range of motion, releases pinched nerves, reduces inflammation, and decreases pain, stiffness, and soreness.
What Does Macomb Township Chiropractic Offer?Dr. Chris McNeil performs many different options and treatments for neck pain. Each patient is given a unique treatment plan based on their x-rays, pain level, and individual expectations. The numbness was affecting her whole life and limited her walking, ability to climb stairs, and sleep lying down. Dr. Chris found multiple areas in Jamie's spine that were severely misaligned, as well as a small disc bulge. A care plan that involved chiropractic adjustments, disc decompression therapy, and postural rehabilitation was created specifically for Jamie, and by the end of her plan, she was pain free, able to do stairs without assistance, walk her dog for long distances, and sleep soundly again. Her pain levels went from 7's (on a scale from 1-10) when she first came into the office, to zero's. Jamie did a numbness relief YouTube testimonial video for Macomb Township Chiropractic praising the therapy from Dr. Chris which basically gave her her life back! On a scale from 1-10, Janice listed her pain levels at 6 and 7's. She told Dr. Chris it was affecting her daily life for so long with just about everything from sitting and standing, sleeping, and mostly walking. She found no relief from years of doctor's visits, and even tried home remedies of calcium supplements and vitamins.
Janice received x-rays and a full consultation on her first visit to Macomb Township Chiropractic, and Dr. Chris found multiple areas of misalignments in her spine that were pinching nerves and causing her pain, and her scoliosis was also confirmed with curvature measurements. Janice started on a care plan that consisted of regular chiropractic adjustments, postural rehabilitation, and disc decompression. After completing her care plan and continuing on a maintenance plan, noticeable improvement on her curvature measurements were found on her x-rays. Today, Janice's pain is completely gone, her posture has improved, and she was quoted as saying "I'm doing everything I want to do without pain", "everything is great!" She has no problems walking anymore, and is "working out at the gym", has "more strength & movement", and is being active lifting and interacting with her new grandson.
