  • Musician Ry Bradley Visits Madame Perry's Salon
“I want to take my fans to where their toes are just barely touching the bottom. They know where they are but they are excited by what’s next.”
Ry Bradley is an award-winning country music artist who brings his dynamic stage presence and innovative country sound with him wherever he goes. Winner of the 2014 LA Music Award for “Country Artist of the Year,” Ry states, “it feels great to be recognized for what I do when inside I still feel like an 11-year-old kid with a guitar, excited to play my songs.”
Ry earned a bachelors degree in music at the University of California. Merle Haggard, Dwight Yoakam, and Johnny Cash were a few of the most influential artists. “As I was becoming my own person, experiencing the ups and downs of life, those artists gave a voice to the feelings I didn’t yet know how to express myself. There was rock, and there were blues, but it was always country music that truly called out to this heart.”

So excited to have the remarkable musician and performer Luanne Hunt as my guest tonight. She is best known for her chart-topping single, “Christmas Without You,” which was recently named by Sweden’s largest daily newspaper, Dagens Nyheter, one of the top 25 Christmas songs of all-time

“Christmas Without You” also landed on two "Best of 2015 Female Country Holiday Songs" lists in the major online U.S. publications, Autostraddle and Truckers News.

“Being on these lists with so many A-listers felt like a real accomplishment,” said Hunt, whose studio musicians have backed everyone from the Righteous Brothers to Kenny Loggins. “It’s a huge challenge to find success in the ‘big leagues’ as an Indie artist, so these honors were quite a validation for all the work I’ve put into my craft.”

Powerhouse drummer James Kottak returns to Madame Perry's Salon to announce the Kingdom Come Tour starting in September. Kingdom Come, formed in 1987 and quickly signed to Polydor Records, released their first single “Get It On” which had a stranglehold on AOR radio in early 1988, prompting their self-titled debut album to ship gold. The quintet comprised of guitarists Danny Stag and Rick Steier, bassist Johnny B. Frank, drummer James Kottak, and singer Lenny Wolf, were part of the North American “Monsters of Rock” Tour alongside Van Halen, Scorpions, Metallica, and Dokken.2018 marks the 30th anniversary of the release of that classic album prompting James Kottak to revive Kingdom Come. Along with original members Danny Stag, Rick Steier, Johnny B. Frank, a tour to commemorate the success of the band and album is born. Original singer Lenny Wolf has declined to participate in the tour, but wishes the rest of the guys the best, and all the success in the world! Keith St. John (formerly of Montrose & Lynch Mob) will be stepping up to fill the void, “but is definitely up to the job” according to band members.
Drummer Campbell Irwin or the LA band White Tar joins me as co-host tonight.
