Madden-Derrick Podcast

Week 3! We're got an episode each week so far, let's see how long I can keep this up. New #1 is Steph, Jags trample the Patriots and everyone that loves them, and some crazy stuff in the chat with the newly-formed Tuck vs. Wolf spat and Tristen calling out everyone after while lined up in the neutral zone at a Rams vs. Giants game. Cheers to the Madden-Derrick League!

Good morning happy Wednesday Week 2. We've got five 2-0 teams, five 0-2 teams, and the highest and lowest scoring teams are 1-1. It's all there, folks. Shoutout Sean crushing it in his rivalry week and taking the top spot in the league. And shoutout Skyy Moore!! Why do we care about Skyy Moore! You'll see. And not quite Omegaball, but there's 10am college soccer and I'm ready to watch it.

This episode nearly didn't make the light of day, but amazingly it was recorded despite poor internet, Covid, and a weird ending. But enjoy week 1 of season 20 featuring Tyler Shough, the closest game of the year already (again), and a shot of the good ol orange stuff

We're back and the season is almost here. Hopefully these will be a more weekly thing now that I have time. Opening up with talk about the draft, the teams, team names, draft grades, and the whole draft process. No plan, just wingin' it. Here's to 20 years!

Sorry about the episode title, just me trying to be funny when I talk about my kid's play date and caterpillars. It's NFL Draft week so I thought lets talk MDL with football top of mind. There's talk about last season, when our draft will be, how this is the 20th season of the league, and how all this World Cup Draft Order business will work.

Just thought of that Ben-Hur vs. Troy thing, I think it works, never made it on the episode. But we're in Championship week! The 19th season of the Madden-Derrick League comes down to a football mastermind in 10 different leagues vs. a man returning from the shadows after 8 years away from the league, both looking for their first-ever titles. Also we try to address what the hell Jacob did and if it's for real. In conclusion, Greg pay Ben, Jacob pay Tai, and lets get ready for a magical 1:25pm NFL Sunday window

The neglect this season was at another level, and I as the commissioner am sorry. I found a way to get a podcast out for the playoffs and it is genuinely anybody's to win. The regular season was fascinating, Ben returns and wins it, Tai takes the points title, and a last-minute battle for the final playoff spot. Also congrats to Wolf winning the Guillotine League and for our Vampire hypothetical team going 5-10.

I'm late! Well it's been 9 months since a podcast, but its something. Two weeks in the 2025 season Year 19 of Madden-Derrick League and your commish is 2-0. Talking about all the results to this point, the draft, future drafts, how a Vampire or Guillotine league would look, and we welcome back old friend Ben to the league. Cheers!

No. 1 vs. No. 2 in the title this week. Diving deep into the matchup along with past championship matchups. Also the third-place match is a good one between Jacob and Marty. Also dishing out prize money to some lucky losers, applauding the non-playoff managers, somebody get ahold of Akira, and looking at the UFC Draft process for next season. Happy New Year!

I slacked a bit on my periodic league commish note pod updates, but just in time for Week 12 here talking about the other 11 weeks, Tristen leading the pack, Marty's kind of domination, Matt's Cinderella story, Jeff's monster rise toward the playoff picture, and Akira's team following Tua's concussed footsteps
