After a really long time without recording a set, I'm back! I've been listening to a lot of different music that was really hard to put together so that it made sense on a set... I finally found enough new stuff that suits my mood and energy and works together.

Use this as the soundtrack of your day, and I promise everything will be good!

10 years ago...

I'm thinking of something special to celebrate 10 years of DJ Madden online sessions. To start, here it comes, the very first set uploaded in August 2005 for your re-enjoyment. This is how it all started! Thanks for your support through time, since the times when not everybody was a DJ, not everybody was a producer and the market wasn't so overpopulated with copies of the copies of the copies like it is today.

Live recording from a great summer night hosted by Mixology, the number 1 speakeasy electronic music stop in San José del Cabo, Mexico. Great crowd, beautiful sound system, best manager ever Mauri taking care of us... Can't wait to be back!

Playing some music for fun and risky mix experiments. This wasn't supposed to be released as it is, but the most beautiful girl under the sun, Kristin, asked me for it - wish granted.

Happy new year! This is part of the set I played at our party at home in Providence just before the ball dropped. Last beats of a year, excited about the new one! Feliz año!

5. Antes de acostarme: me pregunto si he hecho todo lo que he podido para hacer de este un mundo mejor. No sufras si algo ha ido mal, analiza lo que ha pasado y descansa para volver al ataque con energía mañana

I found a lot of beautiful music today and I've recorded a new special set, that comes with an extra message from my friend Tomás Mateo's blog and that's why the name of the set is "5 tricks for a better life":

1. When I wake up, I will promise to myself that I will do everything possible to contribute make the world a better place (start with simple things, like being nice to your family, friends, work partners, random people you meet...)

2. No bullshit empty TV shows: Rather watch cool talks, conferences and videos by authors who contribute make the world a better place

3. Before you leave your home, be grateful for a this new day - a new chance to do good things

4. Fulfill the commitments you have with yourself

5. Before you go to sleep: Ask yourself if you've done everything you could to do the world a better place. Don't worry if the day didn't go as you expected, just think about it and rest. Tomorrow is a new opportunity.

Sorry I neglected you this month... it's been a hard one. The new set for december will be a special one. In the mean time enjoy this set from back september 2007, strongly influenced by an awesome night watching James Holden play IN FRONT of my face at Avalon's small room for a 30pax crowd.
