Made Around Here

Paul Frase went from Barrington, New Hampshire, to 11 seasons in the NFL. Then fatherhood, loss, and his own experience with repeated head impacts reshaped what mattered—and what he wanted to build next.

In the second episode of Made Around Here, Chris Wagner sits down with Paul Frase, who grew up in Barrington, played football at Syracuse, and spent 11 seasons in the NFL. Paul shares how becoming a father changed his perspective, how his family’s experience shaped the way he sees others, and what he learned about honesty and trust while building Bella Builders. He also talks about why he started the HeadRush Podcast and the work of the HeadRush Foundation to raise awareness about repeated head impacts and brain health.

A conversation about New Hampshire roots, family, purpose, and the work we choose to build.

Chris sits down with Ryan Burgess, owner of Bellamy Landscape Services, to explore his journey from working for established landscaping companies to building something of his own.

Ryan shares how roughly a decade of hands-on experience prepared him for the work, how a former customer helped make the leap possible, and why business ownership brought challenges he hadn’t expected. From landscaping all day to handling invoices and customer emails at night, he offers an honest look at becoming your own boss.

They also discuss the creativity behind landscape projects, the satisfaction of helping older homeowners, and Ryan’s advice for people who have the skills but haven’t taken that first step.

Serving Seacoast New Hampshire and Southern Maine, Bellamy Landscape Services offers seasonal property care—from spring cleanups and summer mowing to fall cleanup and preparation, plus winter driveway plowing and walkway shoveling. Additional services include garden maintenance, mulching, edging, planting, landscape installations, patios, walkways, hardscape repairs, and gravel driveways.
