We sat down at their beautiful ranch in Valley View, Texas to learn more about their journey, and just what makes this picturesque ranch one of the epicenters of the sport horse world.

The Split Rock Jumping Tour started at founder Derek Braun’s farm in 2015. Drawing on his experiences in Europe. the shows focused on elevating the show jumping sport with hospitality and an attention to detail that is unrivaled. The show was a success, and caught the attention of riders nationally and internationally. With every progressive show the Tour has built on this momentum.

In 2017 the Tour expanded out of Kentucky for the first time, adding a show in Columbus, Ohio at its Brave Horse facility. Just one year later, Split Rock would host its first World Cup Qualifier at the same location. Since then, locations in California, New Mexico and Texas have been added. 2020 will also see the Ante Up Grand Prix, a revolutionary format to Grand Prix show jumping never before seen in North America.

In Episode 2, Anthony visits Tom Hinkle to discuss his farm's history, and their boutique approach to sales prep that's lead to Sales Toppers at Keeneland September Sale, producing countless stakes winners, and what it's like working alongside the next generation. 

In the 1980s Tom quickly emerged as a top consignor, spending many of those early years buying and selling horses for clients. Over time Tom has redirected his primary focus towards cultivating Hinkle Farms’ broodmare band and selling their foals as yearlings. Throughout his career he has bred or raised over 30 stakes winners.  Ten percent of foals born on the farm have gone on to become stakes winners.

Lauren Lambert is a 4* Eventing Rider and Trainer based in Wylie, Texas. Founder of  Fantastique Equestrian at Gold Chip Stables, Lauren sits down with Anthony Koch and Morgan McQuerry of Hallway Feeds to talk about her journey, and her family's passion for riding and competition. From the family farm in Goshen, Kentucky, Martha Lambert joins the conversation as the first ever mother-daughter team to compete at the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event invite us into their word.   

Lauren has worked for and ridden with some of the nation’s top riders including David O’Connor, Jimmy Wofford and Phillip Dutton.  She spent twelve years studying and schooling German Classical Dressage techniques which embedded in her how to sympathetically and systematically train even the most difficult horses.  Developing under world-class instructors, along with growing up in the business, Lauren has the experience, confidence, and deep-rooted know-how for communicating, coaching, and helping horses and riders reach their goals.

Lauren has also ridden and worked for American Grand Prix Show Jumping Champion Derek Braun of Split Rock Farm in Lexington, Kentucky and  German Team World Champion and Individual Show Jumping Bronze medalist Sören Von Rönne  in Hamburg, Germany.  After being Talent Spotted onto the Under 25 Eventing Squad in 2013 and training with the US Eventing High Performance Team, Lauren relocated to Dallas to be with her husband, Adam.  Lauren is excited at the opportunity to work with horses and riders of all levels from her home base in Dallas-Fort Worth.
