The Meyer-Weft in Papenburg, in northwest Germany, specializes in cruise liners carrying several thousand passengers. The luxury ships are outfitted by specially trained mechanics - one of ten professions youngsters can learn here. The training programs are both comprehensive and demanding, due to the variety of skills involved.
