This Episode Features Ahlia Biondi
Guest Location: Southern California
Ahlia is a lover of life. She exudes joyfulness and compassion, and loves authentic connection. Previously a World Ranked Professional Tandem Surfer, Ahlia was 5th in the world in 2016 and 8th in the world in 2015. Ahlia (pronounced like the flower Dahlia) enjoyed taking her practice off of the mat and onto the waves competing locally and globally as well as tandem surfed for fun during the off season.[removed]Her champion qualities include the ability to maintain focused concentration, discipline, visualization and breath work, as well as keeping a mentality of competition with herself coupled with encouraging and supporting the other teams and individuals. Having grown up with a lot of fear and having experienced trauma and abuse in her past, Ahlia sought to overcome fear through choosing to live by the adage: "feel the fear and do it anyway." This has inspired a lot of adventures and has helped Ahlia overcome challenges from her past in order to have a better tomorrow starting today.
Ahlia has traveled the world to both teach and study yoga, and has had life-enriching adventures teaching in Costa Rica, Hawaii, Israel, Bali and the Caribbean, as well as domestically from Minnesota to California, and other amazing locations in between. Ahlia believes in uplifting her students with inspirational quotes and concepts that increase your vibration on a physical and energetic level.
[removed]Ahlia’s students delight in her teaching ability because she challenges, motivates, acknowledges and inspires you, while guiding you to strengthen your relationship to self – physically, energetically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Ahlia believes in giving technical cues to refine alignment and uses creative and colorful language to guide you through your moving meditation practice.
Ahlia is sought after for her 200-Hour Yoga Alliance Accredited Teacher Training, her unique and inspiring workshops for both teachers and students, local and global yoga retreats, motivational speaking, fundraising events, and private classes. Ahlia has also put together a "yogi life training" - similar to what you learn in yoga teacher training - but without learning to teach classes. This project is inspirational to Ahlia because so many individuals want to deepen their practice and learn more about yoga, but don’t necessarily want to be a teacher. This training is perfect for those who love movement, self-study, and are on the continued path of personal evolution and growth.[removed]
If Ahlia knows one thing about teaching yoga it’s that there is always room for growth. Welcoming feedback and mindfully growing towards personal and professional evolution is Ahlia’s commitment and she is grateful for every opportunity to positively impact other people’s lives.
