Tyler Moon has one of the most ironic stories you have every heard. First he puts "Jesus Saves" on his bib for the Twin Cities 10 Miler, then he goes in to cardiac arrest at mile 8 where his heart stops for 15 minutes, only to be resuscitated by many doctors, one of which who has the name Jesus. Gavin is a resident of Colorado and grew up in the Christian faith. He talks with me about how God shaped him through his running career. Gavin grew up as one of the top high school runners in the country, ran ultra marathons professionally, and now puts on Christian running retreats. This week I decided to do something different. I interviewed a running couple! Steven and Jess Grahmann are locals of Flagstaff, AZ who do the majority of their runs together. Steven is head over the worship team at his local church and him and Jess are also involved in student ministry at Northern Arizona University. Donna Wise is a very accomplished master's runner. She has lived a full life where she traveled to Mexico to perform in Christmas Pageants and help preach the gospel. She has also had the opportunity to compete in the Boston Marathon 9 times, including in 2013 during the Boston Bombing.

Stephanie Pezzullo (Pezz), has qualified for the 2020 Olympic Trials in a time of 2:38, but her story goes much deeper than that. Pezz suffered lots of abuse as a child and that trauma carried on to her every day life and relationships. But through it all, God has brought many loving people, and sports in to her life to help her cope with the pain.

It's the Christmas season so I talked to Josh Gregg, pastor of Ponderosa Baptist Church in Flagstaff, AZ. We talk about the Christmas story, what it means to run the race of Christian faith with endurance, and other running related scriptures in the bible.
