Prayer. It's one of the primary practices of ancient
Christianity...and many modern Christians don't pray. In a fast-paced, self-achieving, and anxious society, we have forsaken prayer as a primary practice. Prayer has been watered down to simply a blessing over a meal, a request for safety in our travels, and a transition from music to preaching in our church services.
Prayer has become a last resort instead of the first response.
Some of the world's most famous revivals were sparked by unified believers who practice prayer as if it were breathing. How do we tap into that same power today? Why are so many Christians afraid or intimidated by prayer? Why do many Christians not regularly practice prayer?
In this episode, we will interview pastor Robby Gallaty. Pastor Robby shares his own journey toward prioritizing prayer, silence, and solitude, and then seeing the fruit of that power break out revival in his church.
Robby Gallaty is the lead pastor of Long Hollow Baptist Church in Hendersonville, TN. In addition to his leadership at Long Hollow, Robby is also the founder of Replicate Ministries and the author of several books, including Growing Up, Firmly Planted, and Rediscovering Discipleship.
