In this episode, Andy Mossey, the Executive Director of the Woodstock Land Conservancy speaks to us about Native Plants and some ways to work together as a community in living harmoniously with our local environments. In this episode Melissa speaks about how we can protect ourselves from radioactive isotopes and industrial nuclear waste fallout everyday with medicines like sea vegetables. This is not usually talked about in mainstream media although extensive research has been done on the potency of this healing plant food. Furthermore, she discusses the compounds found in sea vegetables such as sodium alginate and iodine that bind to heavy metals so they can be safely excreted out the body.
